With Business Basics, we’ll get you up and running with regular accounting tasks so you can concentrate on what you do best. Business Basics includes preparation of your annual financial statement, monthly bookkeeping, indirect tax filing, preparation and electronic filing of corporate income tax returns for your business and a review of your Notices of Assessment when they arrive along with an annual visit from Deloitte. 

Let’s get your business off to a strong start.


The Business Basics includes:

  • Monthly bookkeeping;

  • Review of financial accounts;

  • Preparation of indirect tax and corporate income tax (T2) returns;

  • Preparation of annual financial statements (Notice to Reader);

  • Electronic filing with the Canada Revenue Agency (and Revenu Québec);

  • One visit a year from Deloitte.


  • The indirect and corporate income tax returns are considered to be non-complex. (Tax advice is considered additional work).

  • The bookkeeping is up to date to the latest month.

  • You will approve returns to be filed to the CRA and Revenu Québec (such as tax returns) offered to you through ctrl by Deloitte.

  • You will ensure that your electronic files (using the ctrl PBCL functionality) are provided within the agreed schedule.

  • You will agree to the Conditions of Use Deloitte.

  • All services by Deloitte are subject to the General Terms and Conditions for Deloitte Canada.
